When Brian got into the video production game a 4-gigabyte hard drive cost $3,000 and Beta SP was king. These days, in addition to being able to grab 16 gigs and a bag of M&M’s at 7-Eleven for under $20, he’s happy to report that he hasn’t had to touch a videotape of any kind in over 5 years. Along with leading the company into it’s 13th year in business he enjoys his family, music, skateboarding, and finding inspiration everywhere, everyday.
Weeks after making the move to NYC in 2008 from his home state of New Hampshire, Dave landed at TANE. Beyond being a triple-threat Editor, Motion Graphic Designer, and Director, he’s the company’s technology guru and an award-winning cinematographer. Dave regularly makes his own films and plans to continue doing so as long as Hollywood continues making Transformers movies. When he’s not working on a new project, he can be found next to his stereo thumbing through his backbreaking collection of records.
Evan enjoys helping brands find and tell real stories that matter to people. His M.O. is equal parts playful, experimental, and diligent, and he is committed to “save the world from boring videos.” He began his career at ABC’s 20/20 and has spent the last 12 years with NYC based film & production companies producing award-winning content. When he’s not working, he enjoys reading, biking, documentaries, and yoga.
Hiroshi is a multi award-winning motion graphic artist and editor, originally from Hirosaki, Japan. He is a self-proclaimed workaholic and as legend has it, needs less than 3 hours of sleep a night, typically squeezed in between After Effects renders. In addition to working with TANE for over a decade, Hiroshi is a member of the Telly Award Silver Council, a Studio Voice Magazine award-winning filmmaker, and the Grand Prize winner of the 47th New York Film Festival Trailer Competition.
Nick is an award-winning video editor with experience in documentaries, feature films, and hip-hop themed supercuts. In addition to being the lead editor at TANE, Nick’s proudest independent filmmaking accomplishment is directing Oscar winner Martin Landau in his short film, Eyes. He has an uncomfortably powerful love for Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining, and spends his free time collecting original artwork inspired by the film, which he proudly displays in a home gallery dubbed “The Shrine-ing.”
Forget about the statues, Sevita has an award-winning attitude! With a background in the non-fiction TV world of crime and science documentaries, Sevita is thrilled to now be working in the digital video content world. She’s dedicated to telling stories and is inspired by honesty – “Honesty is what makes us laugh and cry and what makes a good story”. Outside of work she enjoys cookies, hot yoga, hitting the gym, and cooking.
Vas is a true enthusiast for all things visual and has helped define the look of TANE’s productions over the last several years. Outside of TANE, he’s found success in all corners of the visual world, having lensed a handful of independent films, documentaries, and commercial work for clients such as Avon, Bank of America, and Snapple. His cinematographic talents are outshined only by his winning personality and uncanny ability to walk away from a job with a wide range of free, expensive swag.
In addition to editing, Brandon is a natural tinkerer and TANE’s resident MacGyver, barely concealing his burning desire to disassemble everything in sight just to put it back together. Some say he was born wearing a black button up shirt and it is rare to catch him in anything but. His wide array of eccentric interests includes an obsessive passion for synthesizers, pinball, and dollar pizza.
